What can u tell me about a 1991 Mercedes 190e

I have a good lead on a 1991 Mercedes 190e that I am very interested in but don't know anything about them. Can anybody give me some common info?

I had a 1991 MB 190E a long time ago. It was an awesome vehicle. Nothing but good to say. The only issues that I recall is that because it is a light car with plenty of power it was not the easiest car to drive with snow and slush. I had a separate set of snow tires for it.
Good luck!

1978 280ce euro model, 1991 190e 2.6
I picked up a 91 190e 2.6 with 85k miles on it recently. Drove it every day for a couple of months, but now its undercover for the remainder of the winter. Had no problems/ quirks in the shirt amount of time that ive driven it. Ill report anything in the future!

P.s. keep the antenna lubed. It can wear quick with all the extending/retracting

1991 190e 2.3
I have a 91 190e 2.3 8v 5 speed. 204,xxx miles, runs good and strong. Make sure you check out the front suspension and look for leaks. If it's an auto make sure it shifts smoothly as the automatic is notorious for problems as it uses some vacuum lines for the downshift/upshift. Just drive it hard on the test drive. Let it sit and idle for at least 20 minutes to make sure it stays at temp and all the fans come on. (100c for fan clutch, 110c for electric, if the electric fans come on at idle with the a/c off something is not right as it shouldn't hit 110 at idle with a cooling system in good working order). Make sure the ac blows cold. It's an older r12 system and can be expensive to service / retrofit.

I drove some of those in the later 1990s. Never bought one as I felt they were too constricted space wise, and I wanted something heavier to tow a horse trailer. They also had rust problems.

The only one I really liked was a 2.5 diesel that for some reason was much tighter and more "directed" than the others. It didn't look lower or anything, dunno what was up with that. The owner knew it and wanted mayor money so that didn't work out either.

I would always pick a W124 over the 190.
