Help with 190e body update / side skirts
Hi guys,
I had attached 1992 190E 2.6 car with body kit as shown (red car). I sold the car but kept most of the body panels, front / rear bumpers, side skirts etc.
Now I want to buy another Mercedes and re-create the same look. I am looking for a 2.6litre post 1989 model (preferably 1992 - 1993 model car.
However, they seem to be hard to come by in a 2.6litre in Australia.
Hence the question: can I purchase a 1985 - 1987 with the older model body panels / skirting, and EASILY assembly the side skirts / plastic outer door panels from my previous car? I hope the question makes sense. I guess I'm asking whether the earlier cars (such as blue one attached) can be updated to the newer body skirting easily parts found from 1988 onwards, as in are the holes in the door present under the rubber bumper liner
. Let me know if the question needs to be formulated better. Thanks for any help.

Due to your country's motor tax structure, bigger engined imported cars took a huge hit in pricing. The 1.8L RHD was pretty much designed to sell the last few years of production.
To answer, yes you can easily put the bodykit and updated cladding on the pre-update cars. No extra holes to drill, as I recall.
