w201 2.6 suspension
Hey guys! I'm new to the forum so sorry for any repetitive questions. I tried the search.
I just got a '91 190e 2.6 and it is in need of new front struts. I am thinking about doing the Bilstein Sports or Koni's (front and rear) and I have read that some guys are cutting W124 springs for a slight drop and more aggressive feel? I'm looking for sporty but not slammed by any means. How much should be cut off and do you guys have any pictures? Also, I have read that there is some type of rubber pad that comes in different thicknesses that is needed- does this go at the bottom of the spring?
And lastly, if I'm going to be running a stiffer spring and strut setup, are there any other suspension bushings that should be upgraded as well? Thanks in advance!
