I know this old, however there are thousands of OBD2 readers on the market with all sorts of different features and benefits, but experienced folks will say they are all entry level-which only read and clear emissions related faults.

If you own and or drive an MB don't buy one get free reads at any automotive parts store. With that read you have a baseline information to go to experienced MB systems folks who will solve your problems---there is just so much that can be leeched for free!!
