EFI Conversion Help

Hello everyone,

Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction here.
I'm in need of a EFI conversion "kit" of some sort for a Cosworth. Ive been looking around and cant seem to find what I need. They seem pretty hard to come by. I just need the parts to get me moving in the right direction, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
- Dante

There's not really a kit per se. There are a lot of different ways you can do it. A lot of people use the megasquirt ecu and saab fuel rail/injectors, since they line up with the factory injector holes. If you just want the fuel injection you can trigger it from the coil. If you want Ignition timing control as well, then you have to decide what trigger you want to use. Crank trigger wheels and flywheels are the most common, but it's also possible to adapt the distributor to get that signal. We're in the middle of converting a couple of our 16vs at my shop right now.

There is no commercially available "kit" to EFI a 201.034 so you're going to have to DIY it or pay someone big bucks to do it for you.

Your best bet is to go to 190rev.net (there is loads of info on EFI conversions of various kinds there) and get ready to search and read. Then when you've done that, you can decide whether you still want to go ahead with the conversion. It's definitely do-able as several members on the Rev have done it, it's just a lot of work.

Occasionally someone has extra conversion components for sale and if you're lucky, you might be able to snag some pieces and save yourself some custom machining/fabricating but you'll have to be dilligent about checking. Most of the guys had extra pieces produced and sold them to other members to offest the cost of their own conversions but I think most of that "stock" has been depleted.

I think what I'm going to end up doing is get the fuel rail, megasquirt, and a wire harness.. Set that all up. And then hand it over to someone to tune, and then dyno.

I found a fuel rail, now I need to find megasquirt and the wire harness
