New member hello and a "quick" question =)
Hello all. I came across the forum today while searching my model of Mercedes. I'm new to the MB driving world but have always admired them wanted one. Came across a '93 190E in great condition in a local car sales mag and couldn't resist it. It was a 1 owner, complete history vehicle with 174,000km. I live in North Central Ontario, Canada.
My 190E is running rough and seems to misfire on 2 cylinders. Once it's up to speed it seems fine, but not at idle. Could this be timing, some sort of sensor, or ??? Any thoughts as what I should look at? If this has already been covered in another thread, please point me in it's direction. In the mean time, I'll keep searching the archives.
Thanks for any help. Geoff

Out Of Control!!
There are loads of differences between VIN's therefore my guess is that you either have a faulty airflow sensor, electronic switchover valve or bypass valve.
And once again if you don't know\understand the cars mixture system you had best locate a local loony that has\is working with the older W201--he will save you loads of time and money!!
