Mercedes E 200 CDI Elegance
But the prices are pretty stable, even for older 190's, the price you write is about what you have to pay for a 190 in europe if it is in a very good shape.
I had for a couple of years ago a MB 190 MJ 1989 with 102 HP, my parents had a 190 E 1,8 MJ 1992, with 109 HP.
I found both cars amazing, but parents 190 E from 1992 was the best, most beacause of the airbags and the better front seats (more comfortable seats by MJ 1992).

You have not written how old the car is.

I think the most important factor here is maintenance. Do you have any service records or history? Has all the maintenance been done? If the car is fully sorted it out then I think the price is reasonable. Do you know how many owners?

I bought a 1990 2.6 with a manual trans and 120k miles for $1500. Needs things like hoses replaced just because it is an old car, but be prepared to do a lot of work and the Germans don't make it easy... Haha
If it's in good shape you could haggle to 1800-2000? I got mine cheap cause the buyer was only asking 2.
Fun car. Mine is pretty mint save a few things. I thought about stripping it and making it track/drift oriented but it's just so nice. I think I'm going go efi, and then just some intake/exhaust tune etc. I think I'm going to end up getting an e30/36 and swapping a ford 5.0 for a drift car. Not now. But,
TLDR: Mercedes is a nice car and you should get something else for that application
