190D question for power upgrades or other diesel models

Hey guys I am new to the forum, I have owned alot of the Mercedes diesel models with 240D's, 300D's and 300SD's. I love the Mercedes diesel engines you can't beat the reliability and the fuel mileage. I am looking to buy a 190D soon, I have never had one and I love the look of them.

I have a question I wanted to know if anyone has ever done any power modifications to these cars, to get more power out of them. The next diesel I buy I wanted to not just get great fuel economy, but give it a little more ***** LOL. I was thinking can you add a bigger turbo charger to get more air in the engine? Does anyone make aftermarket upgrade parts for diesel mercedes like turbo chargers, exhaust parts, and intakes?

Another question if you did add a bigger turbo charger how would you change the settings on the fuel to give it more fuel? If anyone has ever done any upgrades on a 190D or any other diesel model let me know what parts you put in, where you bought them, and about how much power did you gain.

I have a lot of friends who own a lot of Fords, and Chevy Diesels and they put just air intake in, an exhaust on, tweak the fuel settings and they easily get over 60 extra HP, and loads of Torque, so I thought if those big trucks can do it, I know a mercedes can probably do the same.
