OEM tires 1989 MB190E 2.6

Can someone please tell me about the original tires that were on these cars when they were sold back in 1989? Contis? Michelins? Thanks.

I had a 190E, new in 1988, but it was a 2.3. Mine came with some sort of Pirelli steel radials, IIRC they were a 60-series aspect ratio, and not a very imposing size or type of tread.

Hopefully others will have more specific knowledge.

Many
Other than the 16V and Sportline cars, the standard 190E / 190D tire size was 185-65-15 on 15 X 6 rims. The 16V's and Sportline cars came with 205-55-15 tires on 15 X 7 rims. The 1989 original equipment tires were most probably Pirelli P6's or first generation Michelin MXV's. We bought a new 1990 190E 2.6 which came from the factory with Uniroyal tires as standard equipment...
