Smile Greetings from new member! 1987 16v cossie cis project

Hello all! I recently picked up a cossie 16v and upon delivery, knew that I had a long memorable journey ahead of me. I picked this up online and was a completely blind purchase beside from what was provided by the seller online. Sure enough, the car needed some much needed tlc considering the car sat on the dealer lot for the past several years and I ended up being the proud new owner.
I posted some pictures.

As a professional bmw mechanic, I have considerable experience with carburetor and efi systems but the Bosch jetronic cis is a completely different beast. Trying to get this relic of a car to legitimately pass smog and actually drive as it should, was a huge ordeal. After a few months of trial and error, reading technical publishings online, the countless forum searches and basically completely overhauling the cis injection system, this baby passed smog with flying colors and probably has to have one of the best sounding twin can 4 cylinder on the road up to date. The car pretty much had all the deliverability symptoms. The long cranks, the hesitation during accel, the stalling, and the excessively rich mixtures while leaning out during heavy load requests.
I'm still putting together a write-up of what I did but I thought I'd introduce myself to the merc fam and pass on some knowledge. I pretty much went through all the shop manuals and write-ups. While they were very informative, being that the car is officially 30 this year, finding the recommended Bosch test equipment is basically impossible so I had to improvise with just a modern day multimeter and test equipment. Thought I'd share some sensor specifications and test procedure that may help our fellow enthusiasts performing diy repairs feasible while being economically conscious. Learning to identify the running characteristics was a fun learning experience as well and basically can get the car to run right by "feel." Check back soon for further updates! Thanks everyone! Good to be here!
