1992 190 2.6 Brake Rotor
I am having the hardest time taking off the rotor. Is there a puller, a trick, a tool that will help me take off the brake rotor to replace it with a new one? By the way it is the back brake rotor.

Parking Brake
Inside the rotor on the rear brakes is a small drum brake setup for the parking brake. If you can't move the rotor at all, whack it a few times with a rubber mallet. If it is moving, but just not coming off, you might notice that it feels like really strong springs are pulling it back on... they are. At around 10 o'clock on the passenger side, and I'm assuming 2 o'clock on the driver side, you'll have to stick a screw driver through the lug-bolt hole and adjust the brake shoes.
On the passenger side, move the screwdriver upward (away from the hub) to loosen it. On the driver side, move the screwdriver downward (toward the hub) to loosen it.
Once you've got the rotor off it'll be a good idea to free up the linkage on the inside of the drum (where the cable goes in), that has pretty limited movement and gets a bit rusty and sticky.
If you depend on this car as a daily driver, and are preparing for an inspection, it might be best to order a new parking brake kit before you start the job, and return it if you don't need it. My linkage was bent in the on position (happened days before inspection was due, murphy's law), and I ended up breaking a spring trying to get the rotor off. Since I needed to have the car back together that day, with parking brakes for inspection, I had to fix the spring with a paperclip (not an easy task).
Good Luck,
Dan
