Looking for the best 19"s for my 99

Looking to spend about $1500 max w/tires. No chrome. Anyone know of any deals or have any pics of the best looking wheels for my vehicle without breaking the bank?

avoid 19" like the plague

go for either 17s or 18s with skinny tires and new suspension setup

with 19s ur car will ride like a donkeycart on gravel and there will be rubbing issues as well, unless if ur pullin really thin tires then expect to spend another grand on suspension

Really? Could everyone else please give me their thoughts on this. Especially those of you who already have 19's. Thanks.

I like them

The ride is a little stiff (but not bad at all) and it really handles well. My father has a W211 with sport package and I out handle him hands down. I also liked the ride better ..
BUT I have 245 up front and they rub.. You will want a 8inch front with 235 up front..

HOWEVER I would not trade my set up..

(note I have H&R springs and bilstein setup, this is what makes my car looks awesome, not the rims only)

That side profile is just damn sexy! Just like the honeys out there on the island!

A Puerto Rico! Ooooooh!

Now price for everything please.

EDIT: Could you please give me all your specs. I'm looking to do this next week.

ok.. I spend 1000 on the wheels.. (actually I got them cheaper because I bought them used) .. Tires will run your around 500 (cheap ones).

The Springs I got them in Ebay for 200, and the shocks are Bilstein and run around 600.

So good luck.

Eh, i'd stay away from 19s too. I was told that they rub, and it is best avoid any problems that you can. I have Eibach/Bilstein suspension setup with #3 pads all the way around. Here are some pictures. I bought these 18 inch rims for $500ish and I love them =D

I just went outside and took these pictures for you.

Yea,

If you want this look you are going to have to drop some coin on springs and maybe shocks too if you don't want it to ride like ***.

I swear my set up rides really nice. Not harsh and handles as good or better than any other Benz I have driven and I used to be a test driver for MBZ and BMW.

check here for my set up and latest info.

19x9's and 19x10's. You can find the MB6 Brabus replicas with decent tires in a 19" for around $1,800.

if you want 19s, please dont get some cheap china-made replicas that weigh a f##king ton and bend like crazy. Go with BBS, Iforged etc quality forged wheels with quality rubber.

I have 19 X 8.5 in front and 19 X 9.5 in the rear. These wheels do not rub in the front with the 245/35 tires. I haven't put springs on yet but even when I do I won't have a rubbing problem because many of my friends with the 210 have 19's with the same setup I do and have no isues. My opinion is that 19's look better on the E and 18's look better on the C. That's only my opinion though.

It's too bad you don't lke chrome. I am selling my whole package for 1200 shipped. Heres some pics. The quality is bad because its from my phone. I just went outside to take them for you. I also have a thread in the classafied page with more pics.

Those are nice. Could you take some clearer pics please? I would do chrome but my car is the desert silver color. Just don't think it would look good on it. What do you guys think?

I will take some pics as soon as I can. It's been a monsoon in New England this week, I only pulled the car out of the garage to take the pic. I'll get ones ASAP as soon as the rain stops.

my suggestion: if you're low on $, buy a used set of OEM W210 E55 AMG rims, or OEM W211 E55/E63 AMG rims from the classifieds section here. those wheels look great and very strong. You can fit W211 rims with special lugs.

I did but they all wanted 2 grand. Plus they were 18's. Not just that, the E63 rims look great but almost look too new for my ride. If i had the facelift version I would go for it. What is it about the pre facelift that is so ugly?!

I'd stick with 18. 19's are just too easy to bend on bad roads especially inner city.

the bigger grill and the non-painted side skirts/lower bumper.

There are a few more pics a little bit nicer in my thread. The damage im talking about is a bit of curb rash on the front wheel.

Very tempting cneedham. Still don't think chrome would look good on my color of car (desert silver). If it was black it'd be a lot better. What would it cost to fix that curb rash though? I'm slowly considering your deal.

That's what it is! I really hate that grill at times. Makes me wish i just spent the extra 1000 bucks it would have cost to get the 2000. But hey, I was young, dumb, and in a rush to buy a car. Didn't even think about it. Has anyone ever considered "facelifting" their pre-facelift? That would mean new hood, bumper, and fenders. What do you guys think this would cost? I'm keeping this car for a while so I think this is a project that I would undertake just for the hell of it. Thoughts people?

How the hell did you fit 10's in the back?

Here's my 2001 E320 with 18" AMG's and the H&R lowering kit, using the stock #2 pads and OEM shocks. I thought about using 19"s but decided against it due to the rougher ride and clearance problems.

Depending on where you located I know of a few places, I don't think it would be anymore than 150.
