How to setup reverse mirror tilt :9
Sorry if this has been discussed earlier.
Is there a way to setup the reverse so that Mirrors would tilt with it ?
Thanks

Based on this thread https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...ghlight=mirror it sounds like the dealer needs to enable it. This was one of the features that MB disabled starting in 2006.

The same's true with the convenience feature of having the driver's seat slide back for easy entry/exit when the key's removed.

I use seat memory position # 3 JUST for the two mirros in full tilt down. Backing out of the garage is a snap - hit #3, when going forward in the street, hit #1 and drive away

I just asked my dealer at the 1,000 mile check and they flat said, "your model does not suport this..." They went on to say IF it did, they could add it to the command menu list in the display in the spedo cluster area. They also said the models that do it, it is ONLY the passenger mirror. When I need it, I need both.

May I assume that since we're in the US with the Command system in a world where the old Engineering Mode was not only posted on the Internet but sold on eBay that there is no way to change settings (say, to enable some of the 'lost' convenience features) through a back door or basically on your own? Or is there still a way to get into the guts of the thing and modify it ourselves?

Mirror tilt cannot be done at home They have to reprogram COMAND, I believe. Also, the old manual on how to hack in your COMAND is not valid for GL's COMAND, at least. Trust me, I tried.
Going to dealer sometime and will ask nicely for them to enable this. And, if that won't do it then I will go to the next dealer down the road

I don't know how quickly they did it, but they got rid of those "convenience" features very early on. People didn't understand them and rather than just having them turned off they simply disabled them. Which stinks.

Actually that was the service manager at the last pickup who told me that. He said they decided to disable it because of particularly tall people, both who would possibly be sitting behind the driver and who might be in the driver's seat and want the seat to slide back even further. One fellow was complaining that he needed the seat to go back further, and his wife was complaining that he'd crush their grandchild if he did. That kind of thing.
