Jack points on a CLK

I'll just purchased some Carlsson 2/5 wheels to replace the 2/6 which are currently on.

Can anyone shed some light on where the jacking points are on a CLK (both front and rear). I don't have the jack that came with the car anymore so I'll be using a floor jack instead.

Thanks in advance.

There are jack pads under the car near the sideskirts (look first). I typically use those for the front, and the rear differential for the rears (you can get the whole rear off the ground from there). Remember, jacks are not safe, as they are not fixed. If you don't have jack stands, make sure you do not go under the car while working.

Jack it up inside the skirts, right at these spots, you'll see the circular spot to lift up at with the jack...loosen the lugnuts before you lift it up.....hope this helps....

That brings up one important thought. Yes, those are the right jack points, but I would never use a MB jack again! When changing my rear right tire, I had the bottom of the MB jack bend and the car roll backwards off of it. Luckily, the wheel was still bolted on, or I would have been in a lot of trouble. As a result of this, I will only use quality floor jacks. I have a brand new (replacement) MB jack if anyone wants to buy it...

I have a heavy duty floor jack in my garage and two heavy jackstands, although I have to admit I don't use the stands often enough when working on the car (like changing brakes.)

Lol I just knocked on wood.

I'm usually a stickler for a nice cleaned car (inside and out.) People often comment when they get inside about how clean it is.

The 4/29 pictures are from when I detailed it for 1 1/2 days straight...I don't think there was a spec of dirt ANYWHERE on the car when I took these pics.

I'll send you the link from where I bought everything...also let me know if you have any questions and I'll help you along...be sure to take before and after pics too, I'm interested to see how your car turns out.
