I am currently looking to buy some wheels for my w208 and i am wondering.

Don't really know the answer to that but I have 18" SSR's with spacers. I probably don't need them but there were already on the wheels.

I have 2002 CLK 55

I am running factory Mono Block II's from a 2001 E55
18"x 8" ft 18"x 9" rear. Also running european springs which are about 1.5" shorter.

Every once in a while on a big bump it will rub.

i am in a 209 but i am running 19x8 up front and 19x9.5 in the rear. i am not sure about the 208 but backspacing and offset are a big deal for the 209. do your research and make sure you got the right backspacing and offset. if you are running stock suspension and you buy the right wheels you will not need spacers.

Do spacers effect the performance by a lot?
i heard some guy say that when he is driving at high speeds his wheels start to bounce and shake?

I ran 18" AMG Monoblock II's on my W208 CLK430. I think they were 18x8 in front and 18x9 in the rear.

The only difference I've noticed with the spacers is that my wheels now are push out right to the edge of the fenders. Ride is the same, no vibrations. I think that guy has some other problem he needs to fix.

wheels look better when they are close to flush with the fenders. spacers allow you to fill up the wheel well. plus they are useful when you have wheels with offsets that are not ideal. you can clear brake calipers or coilover perches. you should only buy hubcentric spacers. otherwise you will definitely experience significant vibration.

classy lookin for real. Amazing what 1" bigger and nice lowering stance did for you. I've always liked the monoblocks for the older benzs (its square stylin) but looks great on your w208 too! Sweet job there.

Im running 18x8 rims, PS2 225/40 front, 255/35 rear. Never rubs

CLK55 AMG
I am running 19x8 up front with 235x35 and 19x9.5 rear with 275x30. I have no rubbing issues at all in hard corners or bumps.
Here is a pic of my clk430 and my 55 looks identical.

On out Project W208 CLK... we had a few different wheels.

They were all 19x8.5 and 19x10
These are HRE 546R in high-polish finish...

PM me if you have any questions

02' brabus modified ML500,05' Lambor Gallardo, 02' CLK
I have 18" AMG dual spoke from W209 AMG with 235/40/18 front and 265/35/18 runflat rear, H&R kit, NEVER rub. I just put on 19" Brabus MOno V 2-pc with 245/35/19 and 275/30/19 and they still tucked in the fenders, doesn't rub at all.
Hope this may help you

2008 CLK 63 Cabrio 2006 SC Range Rover Sport H-D Road Glide
I am new here, hello everyone. I am thinking about putting some 20's on my new CLK 63 cab, have any of you guys put 20's on one of these? Any Photos you can provide? I know 19's will fit no problem, they come on the CKL Black Series model. My car is stock height, but I would like to lower it once the new wheels are on to sure up any gap that might remain. Any help would be appreciated.

Also, I have had HRE's, BBS's and Fikses in the past, are there any other high-end forged wheel makers out there that are offering any cutting edge, yet tasteful designs. My goal with these wheels is not to make my car look like it is being driven by a Rap star., rather a high performance tuner look.

Thanks in advance
