09 Mirror Cover Part No.
The more I see it the more I like the 2009 mirror cover vs the 08 version.

Does anyone know the part no or any place I can order it? Will be a snap on retrofit?

Unfortunatley it's not just a cover, the mirrors are completley different.


You will have to but a complete mirror housing to get this look....

Does anyone have a picture of the old style mirror and a new style one next to each other or can someone with the new style mirror provide dimemsions of the mirror housing with close up pics from various angles? I'm considering ordering a set from our trusted european parts source, MBenzNL.

Mike,

Please let me know when you order it ... I've longed for this update for a long time. My dealer in hong kong quoted me somewhat US$2k for the pair. It's plain ridiculous.

I wish the new mirror could look more "sleek" like on the CLS 63 and SLK 55. More curved/ rounded rather then flat. Also, the black part on the bottom should be body coloured painted.

They are not cheap, I was quoted 1,150 euros shipped to the US for a pair of the new style mirrors complete with a new switch for the drivers door that includes the power fold button that MBUSA decided to take away from us in 09.

PS If we get enough interest I will be glad to see if we can negotiate a group buy from Steve.

The price I was quoted includes a new door module with the necessary mirror fold button. The one caveat is that the car must be updated via Stardiagnose for the folding mirror option before they will work.

My car originally got the fold button ... anyone know the exact part number so we can quote? Is it a must to change the whole thing completely or it's just the cover?

Wait, my 09 doesn't have those side mirrors. Mine just arrived last month, was there a change already? Or is that only a european mirror?

The new mirror design was not used worldwide. Only some markets.

The entire mirror assembly must be changed. The glass is different as well as the housing.

I saw a AMG SL63 at a dealer in Pennsylvania recently. The floor model had the new wing mirrors. I suspect that they will trickle down to C63 soon though whether it will be for 2010 remains to be seen.

I like them also but don't think its worth the time, money, and energy to just change the mirrors IMO. However, check this post here https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...4-mirrors.html

Or, you could just add a cover like here Below on the old side mirrors.
