Hi everyone,
I have several items that have fallen behind the ashtray in the dash (in the center console) and I can not get them out. Is there any easy way to remove the ashtray?

You need to remove the center console .... 5 min!.

Essentially there are 2 screws in the bottom of the Armrest compartment, and then you can remove the burlwood center console cover, after that you can get at the ashtray from behind.

The pics are a great help, but I have two small round plastic caps in my console storage. I don't see any screws except two at the top rear which appears to remove the storage cover.

What are the two round plastic caps in the bottom of the storage compartment?

BTW I have a 2003 ML350.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
