2004 E55 AMG dyno numbers - before and after...

Before: Stock
After: Kleemann Headers, Pump, Thermostat

The Dyno is a DynoJet (in-ground at Excessive Motorsport - Northern VA - shop is a distributor for LET)

SAE:
Stock dyno peak numbers - 410/433
After dyno peak numbers - 447/472

STD:
Stock dyno peak numbers - 422/446
After dyno peak numbers - 461/484

Difference in numbers all the way across the curve was the same as the peak difference.

I believe I am getting headers now.

I will get the dyno sheet up soon as I get to my house.

I have an 04 myself and my first mod (and only mod so far) was a set of headers. Though I haven't had it dyno'd, I can absolutely feel a sizable difference in performance.

they happen to put a wideband on it? Id be very interested in what the AFR looked like before and after the headers. Andy from MHP asserted that he didnt think that headers were worth much and that most of their gains are from a leaner AFR. Id like to see if your data supports or refutes this assertion.

Actually, headers will lean a car out a bit but the gains shown on the dyno for the header install (other couple mods) weren't off a more lean AFR alone, "what goes in must come out" theory shows headers and or larger exhaust does an FI engine good and will always provide good gains across the curve. Of course, NA motors are a different story and will not yield as much of a gain compared to FI engines. Maybe this is why Andy stated what he did seeing he might have been speaking in line with his C63.

The AFR is reflected on the dyno sheet and I must say it was pretty.

I forgot to grab the dyno sheet when I left yesterday but will get it tonight, take a good picture host/toss it up.

Dyno Sheet

The car that Almo is referring to is actually mine. The guys at Excessive Motorsport did a great job with the headers and cooling mods. The before and after dyno is posted below. Next up: 180 mm pulley and custom LET tune!!!

That is an outstanding dyno sheet, and confirms my feelings that my car gained a decent more amount of power. Thanks for sharing.

Oh and I'm on the same track as you, I'll be going with a 180mm pulley and an LET tune soon enough!

Very nice numbers. didn't you have to flash the ECU for the o2 sensor? Did they (Kleeman) just flash for the code and leave the tune? Either way, nice A/Fs.

I just ordered mine to after seen this. Cory said they just tune out the primary cats and fool the computer. This is with the stock tune, headers only.

Exactly.....and there is a nice increase in sound as well. Not too obnoxious, but enough that you notice a difference.
