C300 tires... How far will they go?
I've got 32,000 miles on my Michilin Pilot tires that came with my 2008 C300.
They still have a lot of tread on them.
I thought these low profile high performance tires were suppose to wear out sooner. I'm not complaining, just surprised.
I am running nitrogen in them, so I'm wondering if that has anything to do with it.
How are you guys doing as far as tread wear and milage?

HIGH performance..... no! these tires are like all around good. like bs performance. these tires are what they put on like honda accords and toyota camrys. benefit is they should last about 25,000 miles or more supposedly. as opposed to REAL performance tires that will only last around like 12k miles. My car gives out LIKE CRAZY and i think alot has to do with the tires. but ya they will last a long time and i don't think nitrogen makes a difference on treadwear.

The Michelin's are an All Season Grand Touring tire. Should handle well, ride well and give good service life but not the best at anything. Of course, driving style makes a lot of difference as well.
I love mine and although they are not the stickiest tires around they fit my driving style pretty well...an added benefit is it makes it a little easier to swing the back end around when you get a wild hair...

I have 42,000 miles on since 08 and they still look good . I do mostly highway driving.

The factory provides all-seasons with the 17" wheels and summer tires (Conti's) with the 18" AMG option.
I am unimpressed with the Conti's. They are very loud and seem to slip easily, especially with temps in the 30's (F).

The Pilot HX MXM4's are mid-grade OEM all-seasons...no comparison.

Sounds like you're having waaay more fun than I am.
A while back my local insurance agent was telling me about a new company they carry that will put some kind of electronics in my car and if I don't speed or gun it, it'll reduce my insurance premium. They didn't say what happens if you do those things. I was more concerned about an expensive computer repair in my car than anything else should their device not play well with it.

It has to be the tires, almost all the C63 owners on MBWorld are seeing the tires needing replacement in the 3-5k range. A few have been below 3k miles and your right, that has to be a lead foot drive from every stoplight.

You know what that has to be.
The darn car is so overpowered that they're having to use very soft sticky rubber which doesn't last long. Otherwise, you'd be spinning out all the time.
