Average around 24k or so

Save your self some time and money by getting with a MB dealer and get one that is certified. You will pay more, but you will not have to worry about tires, brakes, services, etc.... Saving money and time in the long run.

 

This is bad advice because its wrong

With CPO you have to worry about tires, clearly they are not going to replace things that wear, and if you can't examine tire tread before buying a used car, whatever dealer you go to is going to rip you off

You also have to worry about brakes, it will have brake pads left when you buy it, but so will all dealer's cars, they wont sell you a squeaking POS cause you'll realize

Service is also not covered by CPO (A/B/C/D/E/F/G) but warranty work is

CPO is basically garbage - I'm not going to check the MMR, but if these things average around $24k, buy one from a dealer for $28-29k, no matter if its CPO, don't buy one from MB just b/c its "CPO" its probably an auction car that they did the process on. Save yourself $7k, take it to the local MB dealer and have them do a PPI, they will check the brakes, tires, service indicators, body, etc. and you'll have a good car that you can buy an ELW on.

Just my .02, but CPO cars are best used when buying AMGs that are old (IE, you want an 04 E55 AMG or 05 CL65 to be under CPO, those things are problematic b/c they are from the earlier MB bad-quality years, not to mention problematic in their own selves because of the sheer amount of tech in them)

 

HDTV22 is exactly right on all points. CPO is a 12 month warranty. Forget about the 100K miles, as you'll never reach that trigger in 12 months.
