Arghhh! Replacing ML350 Parking Lamp
Greetings MB world members...thanks to all in the past for helping me with my 1991 190 E 2.3 with 203K miles...still runs like a champ!
My wife's 2007 ML 350 has the left driver's side parking lamp burnt out. Dutifully reading the manualI set about to replace the bulb. Unlike the ease with I can replace bulbs on my 190 the parking lamp fitting is tucked between the front frame rail and the headlight housing.
Not having thin hands or wrists that rotate 180 degrees Ive tried small pliers, snap ring pliers and other small tools to move the bulb fitting counterclockwise to loosen it but there is not enough room to get it to turn all of the way. I think it needs a really llooonngg pair of needlenose but that seems like overkill for just a parking lamp.
Any steer from the MB World members be welcome...

No help with this? What did you do?
I think the solution is to pull out the whole lighting assembly, which means removing the bumper cover and grille. I've done this on a Prius. It seems absurd, but its the only way unless you have a child with long arms and strong fingers.

The easiest way is exactly what the previous post suggested. I thought my parking lamp was out on my 09 but it turned out to be something the dealer had to fix as the bulb was not burned but I kept getting a message that it was. At least I gained some experience if I ever have to replace the bulb

GREAT TIP ABOUT THE PARKING LIGHT!
Hard to believe that you need a tool used for surgery to remove a light bulb! What would Gottlieb Benz say????
