Selling the baby

Selling the C63. I think i have 2000 miles or maybe less. I have not checked lately, last time I drove it , it had 1200 then my wife took it out a few times. Anyway its Obsidian Black on black. All options less the P30 package and carbon trim. Euro factory intake, 2 piece front rotors from AMG (P30) rear Evosport 2 piece rotors still in the box. Recently serviced for the rear dif oil. Aligned by a real race shop. Clear bra, weather tech mats and trunk mat. Never seen snow or been smoked in. Tinted a light 50 percent all around.

Reason for sale is that I just don't drive the car and I have a Porsche CUP car that needs a tranny and engine rebuild.

email me at thompsonmotosports@gmail.com or call at 973-879-2598 Northern NJ area. Please only serious inquiries. 58k obo. That is the Kelly Blue Book for an excellent trade in. I have the extras and also the stock parts. Car is mint.

I wish you luck, but I think you should be a little more realistic with yourself. No one *ever* gets "Excellent" trade in prices. This may help a little: https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...es-09-c63.html

I am asking 58 due to the mileage and the clear bra job, the airboxes, the rotors, the paint matched side reflectors, etc. I will take 56k and sell off the airboxes and the reflectors. I have 2189 miles I just looked this weekend. Car will be consigned soon if anyone has a decent offer I am willing to listen.

I am sorry but you are not realistic with your price. There are many CPOs out there for less than what you are asking. I got my CPO (with P30 package)about 3 months ago for less than 56K with brand new tires and the extended CPO warranty.
Everyone knows that the extra parts bring no extra monies. You are better off selling them separate.
No one in their right ming would spend more than 53K. good luck with the sale.

Just curious...how did you change the rear dif oil in a car that doesn't have a rear dif? Believe only with the P30 package do you get an LSD (unless aftermarket).

Let the guy ask what he wants. The car has low mileage. That being said, I know someone on here personally who bought an 09 w/ the performance package brand new for $55. They were offering a 10K rebate which kills the market for us all. Thats the perils of owning an AMG. On a good note for the seller, I just traded my 08 in w/ 20k miles which did NOT have the PP for $45. So there are still solid avenues. Just got to research. Good luck on the sale, sounds like a great clean car...

Yet you paid 55Kish and your CPO probably had over 10K miles. I think his price is close to spot on for the mod he has on it. 56K sounds about right for such low mileage and the mods.

Everyone is always looking for a steal and to undercut the price. Find the person who wants the car, not the people who cant afford one. Good luck with your sale.

You guys are dreaming...
Option 1: CPO car from a dealer with 10K miles and PP package, B service just completed, new tires and warranty extended to 5 Years/100K miles: 56K
Option 2:Third party Car with 2K miles, No PP but after market P30 brakes, tires with 1/2 tread left, 1 year less warranty for the same price.
Don't dare tell me you will chose option 2...
Furthermore, check the forum, there are people who bought NEW 09s with PP for 55K out the door.
Good luck with sale at 56K.

It about a willing buyer and a willing seller. Everyones circumstances are different and subject to change. If Andrew's offer does not satisfy your circumstances and you are not a willing buyer then move along - I see no need to make the points that you do.

Let him ask what he wants and have an honest discussion with those that are interested in buying.

Lets talk about that dream....

Do I want a really sick race car with 10K miles on it? How did they original owner treat it? Did he beat the crap out of it from day 1? Why did he trade it in at 10K Probably some type of financial situation. Did he have his last whoorahh before he did doing donuts, melts and high speed runs before he traded it in?

Service B is $300!! Ohh noes!! Thats a deal breaker for me!!

5 year 100K OR WHATEVER COMES FIRST. Its not a 5 year extension at the end of the regular warranty. You purchased a 1 year extention and they added 50K miles to makes it seem soooo sweet!! You will never see that 100K. The service date on the car could be late 2008 for all you know. Chances are probably. That means that you only have 3 years of Warranty on the car. Maybe 3 1/2. Good luck putting 90K miles on the car in 3 1/2 years. You will be off warranty in 2014 just like everyone else and have 50K miles on your 100K warranty. LOL

The new 2009's you speak of were purchased at the end of the summer of 2009 to make room for 2010's. Just because people got a great deal on the car for 2 months doesn’t lower the value of every 2009 ever made. Sorry.

Tires??? Really dude? $1200 dollars doesn’t justify 8K beater miles.

I love people who get taken by the smooth talk of the dealers. CPO warranty extensions. New Tires!! Service B is done!! lol These things cost the dealer nothing and you walk out with a 10K miles + car for the same price you could have bought privately, with way less mileage almost the same warranty AND practically new with only 2K miles.

Some people will never learn.

This is all a matter of personal preference. I bought my 09 C63 with 7500 miles and know everything about the car (not a lease, etc). That was important to me as well as paying low 50's. I plan on keeping the car a long time and am buying the 7/75k extended warranty, so the CPO was not really worth a premium to me. I will admit, the depreciation on these cars is rather large compared to my Viper. Keep the first Viper two years and lost only $1k.....kept the second Viper 9 years and lost around $8k....not too bad! Low milage cars bring a premium....just a matter of what your willing to pay.

The 7/75K would be a much better option.

Agree and is what I am doing. For the price premium of a CPO car, I am getting a pristine car with a total of 7/75 instead of 5/50 warranty. This, of course, depends upon the car and might not always be the best way to go. For me, it was!

What I meant to say was factory is 4/50 and CPO is 5/100 (I think). I don't drive anywhere near 20k a year, so 7/75 works best for me.

The car has limited slip. All of our cars have LSD. The perf package diff is just set to higher value or has steeper ramps in it. I am asking what I am asking because someone will value the 2 grand in 3m clear bra, the intake, the floating front rotors, the painted reflectors, and all the other crap in there. If you tell me a 2010 car is 58 then i can understand my price is too high. Other wise I wil entertain reasonable offers. I dont have to sell the car I just wanted to free up 60 grand to build out my track only race car. I'll let you know what it goes for. I already had a wholesaler offer me 52500 so I know I am not far off. Thanks guys
