SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: What's wrong with people these days???
"
I can buy a 2003 sl500 for about $25K from a mercedes dealership.
So yours being a 2004 sl55 has more value but as a buy I would only buy your sl55 if it was in the range of a $25K 2003 sl500.
So my offer for your 2004 sl55 would be $19K.
So if you need $19K its right here waiting for you.
"
Are you serious? I wrote back, with thanks for making me laugh.

Here are the current Manheim auction values for SL55's. Dealers pay these prices + about $600-800 for fee's, cleanup and transportation et. Sometimes they pay more if the car needs ding or tire maintenance. The majority of these cars will not have any sort of warranty either.
These dealers mark their cars on average up 4-8k. Make your offers accordingly.

My boss has an S550. He calls it S, 5, 5, 0. He tells me it is extremely fast and much quicker than my little SL55 because the 550 is a much bigger engine than the 55.
I tried using this crooked dealer to buy my Range Rover last summer named Frank Masika, his dealership is called Towne Auto located in Chesapeake VA, so be ware he is crooked!! Anyway, he tried to screw me over big time. I gave him a check for 45K after I used his user name and password that he gave me to find my Range Rover right, well turns out he lost the freaking truck while lying to me all the while some other dealer bought the perfect Range Rover from underneath his sorry nose. Turns out that the Bast_ _ d floated my money to buy other cars and was hoping that I would be patient enough to wait until he found the car that he thought was reasonably priced for me. Two things he did wrong with me, One he assumed that I was nice and two he never took into account that I already was smart enough to know that he was trying to buy a car for about 38K and telling me that it cost him 45k.
To make an already long story short, I had to reach out and touch this guy not to mention threaten him to give me my money back. Shortly afterwards I just bought a Range Rover off of e-Bay and called it a day. How stupid can one be after giving someone your user name and password to your OVE acct and think that they would not research the site to see the actual cost of a car, but that's what I get for trying to beat the system. By the way he never wanted to allow me in on the auction to see what exactly goes on, that's what made me suspicious, because I know that a dealer can allow a visitor in during the auctions.

I was offered a 2005 sl500 for $30K from a legitimate mercedes-benz dealership. Do you want me to forward you the email?
"
Should I educate him a bit or should I just keep playin the game
I told the guy that the dealer was almost 15K higher than his offer and he still acts stupid.
