DIY CLS550 Engine Air Filter Replacement

You will need Two Purolator A34838 filters available at Pep Boys ($18 each) or other supplier. Pull up and remove the Front Plastic Engine Cover. With a screwdriver pry back the wire clip on the back center of the Rear Plastic Engine Cover, and disconnect two air intake tubes and another smaller tube. Then pull up on the Rear Plastic Engine Cover Lift off entire cover and flip over to expose 4 Torx screws on each filter box (you need a Torx tool, it’s something like an Allen Head wrench) to expose the filters. NOTE: These are the Engine Air Filters, NOT the Cabin Air Filter. E-mail me for pics if you like ppilot5@hotmail.com

It's the same procedure on almost any MB, not difficult. Don't know much about Purolator but I think you should stick with OEM, K&N, Green, BMC. First time I h ave heard those used in an MB.
