before I made my order I was looking for a capri blue with all of the things I wanted on it.....but there wasn't a ten like what I wanted in the whole country apparently.........but whatever, ordering enabled me to make more choices with things I wanted......but the wait sux for someone that's never had such a lux car......

OK, like I surmised, it's at the VPC now. Assuming that everything is ok from the ocean transit, the car will be in Raleigh on either Tuesday or Wednesday next week. I hope that it is everything that you desired.

I did ask to have help in tracking it oversea, just for fun, but I guess it was a pain for the salesman or something.......but whatever..........

I ordered last week. The Dealership was able to modify one of their cars scheduled for next week for me. The car goes into production on 10/25, guessing it gets finished first week of Nov. Hopefully I will have it by Dec!

What makes the wait so long is the fact that there are three stops on the boat trip. The ship will drop off cars in the UK then sail to Halifax for a drop of Canadian cars and finally to the US port of entry. I am not sure where that is.
My 2011 W212 was built in the first decade of July and I took delivery Aug4th. That was extremely fast because it had to spend a few days in Halifax then shipped to Montreal by rail and then by truck to Eastern Ontario.
Your long wait has its' reward because your car will be one of the first E class with the new nav screen with the temp display. Also if you have the rear camera it also will be a more advanced version. These changes started in Sept. production. You can now boast to your fellow forum members that you are the proud owner of a slightly superior W212.

built a new driveway, getting a sweet car port and a few gallons of leather conditioner, hehe........
