I am going tomorrow to buy new rotors/pads/sensors for the car and doing a brake bleed.
I was wondering, how often should the brake lines be changed?

The car has 62,000 miles, rotors never changed before. They feel a bit warped, and have had 2-3 brake pads through them since new.
The brake pedal travels down a lot, and it actually takes quite a bit of force on it for them to work. So, first few inches of travel is soft and does nothing, last inch does something but is somewhat hard to press.

Brake lines should be inspected for any cuts or signs of been dry rotted or frayed. This may be caused by fair wear and tear or by aging of the material. Faulty brake lines can collapse under pressure blocking the flow of fluid; causing the brakes to lock up or brake uneven. Its a no brainer considering the cost and the ease of replacing. The replacement brake lines from my 300D cost about $16.00 each. If you decide to replace (which you should); start to bleed from the wheel furthest to the master cylinder and work your way to the closest last; you may require an assistant for this. Also pay close attention to the brake fluid requirements for your Benz.

And if they visually look fine, it's ok to leave them as is?

If you dicide or not is your call. I would replace or flush the brake fluid regardless. It absorbs moisture and should be replaced around.every 3 years.

I agree. Unless the lines are abraded, a wheel gets hot, or the car pulls drastically, I wouldn't waste the money. In years long passed brake hoses, belts, and coolant hoses needed to be changed routinely along with master cylinders. Rubber product quality has drastically improved over the years. I can't remember when I last changed a master cyl.

do the fluid... but dont bother replacing the lines unless theyre showing some bulges, or are rubbing/worn down in spots or have rusty fittings
