Mercedes E55 AMG (2006), Mercedes 560 SEL (1991)
W211 E55 FUEL TANK CAPACITY
Anyone have an idea the actual capacity of the fuel tank on the 06 w211 e55 AMG? Understand the capacity is greater than that on the smaller engined w211 sedans.

80 litres. Fuel gauge reading isn't proportional then. Indicated half tank fills up with some 55 litres. Never had the courage to run it empty and can't seem to locate a drain for the tank either. Has anyone actually confirmed by emptying the tank and brimming it afterwards - bearing in mind the fact that gas station pumps may vary significantly in dispensing accuracy?
Or is my fuel gauge simply bonkers?
