Any help or advice would be great-as im going to sell my C36 for it and make it my daily driver.
Anyone know?
There are no tires on the BBS RS 009 right now, but I've got a set of 225/50/16.
I guess I should start by learning the stock tire sizes for a w115. Anything? Anyone? I'm good with calculating backspace, frontspace, and use the rimsntires.com site for diameter.
Thanks!
Mike

Check out their website

My friend just picked up a "barn find" car and used their article to get a realistic value.
Hope this ok to share on this website. The two complement each other.

I hope this helps, message me if you want more details. I sold mine and I'm starting again with a 1970 250. I have the same BBS RS idea and I'm going to experiment with different coils and shock combos to get LOW.

Until then, the car drives great and seems to be a good daily driver. So my questions are:
1. How can I keep it running great?
2. What are some major issues I should be watching out for?

You probably want to start fresh with fluids/filters/hoses & maybe glow plugs (unless you know that previous owner recently did that stuff). As for ongoing maintenance, these cars are pretty simple and very bulletproof. Just change the oil at every 5k and adjust the valves every 15k or so, and remember to pre-heat the glow plugs twice on cold mornings before you start it. That's all we used to have to do on our manual.
