SLR/C199/R199/Z199: Is there a V12 SLR

No V12 option. There are only two engine choices and both are 5.5 liter Supercharged V8's. The standard engine is a 5.5 liter Supercharged V8 with 626 horsepower. The upgraded engine which can be found in the 722 Edition and the Stirling Moss Edition has the same engine but tweaked to 650 horsepower.

besides not having a v12 option. Also worth mentioning, it is not the same engine that is in the AMG version of the 5.5 kompressor vehicles. It is a completely different block and head configuration, aslo using a dry sump oil system.

The SLR has the M155 motor, which is built upon the M113 motor. They are definitely the same family just share some different internals.
