How to remove side mirror lenses?

Are they just "pry" out, or do you need to dis-assemble the entire mirror?

I'm getting them smoked, and need to take it to the body shop. Thanks for the help.

Push on the bottom part of the mirror glass with your fingers to expose a large gap at the top of the mirror. Then with as many fingers as you can get in the gap, evenly disperse the pressure with your fingers while pulling straight out. The mirror is held in by a circular clip almost 2" diameter. Just be firm and even while pulling outward with the glass

Sorry I didn't clarify! I actually wanted to take the turn signal lense on the side mirrors off, not the actual mirror off. Thanks for the info though!

Yeah in order to get the turn signals off you need to dissasemble the whole mirror I did it before. Step one take out mirror second pull out the mirror lense you can pry out with a flat head from there you will see many screws just un screw them. At that point everything is out of the mirror but the housing and the turn signal, some more screws 2 to be exact and the turn signal is out!

I'll have to try this to see what's causing all the condensation in my side mirror turn signal. I can live with the eventual corrosion and yellowing, but there is NO way in hell I can ever go without the auto-tinting driver's side mirror! (And rearview!)

good post!

If it's soldered in, then it's gonna have to be a custom job unfortunately. I'll take a look though and see what I can do.
