DMV /// AMG Summer Meetup
Hey guys,
Hope everyone is enjoying the warm weather, keeping their cars clean & keeping the bimmers & other haters in the rear view!!
I wanted to invite "DMV" area (DC/MD/VA) members to get together soon, take pictures of our car, grab a bite, cool off & chill... and I'd like to suggest a potential meeting place of the Blvd @ the Capital Centre (Arena Drive, Exit 16 off 495, down the street from Redskins Stadium), where I happen to know the owner of a little ice cream parlor.
I'm happy to host (in the parking lot!) and provide discounts for all! Nice big parking lot, 24 hour security patrol, and great opportunity to take some pictures while enjoying some delicious ice cream.
Tentatively, I was thinking about sometime the July 30/31 weekend, but I'm flexible. Just wanted to put a feeler out there and see who was interested in stopping by!

I work off of 495 in VA so this would be perfect, Very interested in having a meet since I didnt get a chance to make it to the last one. Put me down if your starting a list.

I'd be interested in coming. Being lazy, I would propose we hold the meet on the Virginia side of the beltway! 
The ice cream is appealing, but the 50 minute one-way drive to Largo, MD not so much. Any cool place in the middle we could meet - still open to the idea but its a hike.

That is a great idea, I would very much like to attend. I hope that others in the DC area would like to attend also. PM me with all the details, I will send out an email to all my list a AMG contacts that I have in our AMG club, to gauge their participation in this.

Absolutely, all are welcome (but we figured most wouldn't come down from too far away...). What weekend you looking at? We haven't set a time yet, but I imagine it would be early to mid afternoon?

The weekend this happens... will be the weekend I come down. So if it's a saturday i'll head to MD/VA friday evening. Meet with all of you and go back to my families place for the evening and such, and head back to NJ sunday.

I'm in as well....one suggestion...we might want to find someplace that is easy to get into and out of. I know that Yuillie and I have talked about this.
One suggestion that I had was Dogfish in Rockville. It's right off of I-270 and has a bunch of empty parking lots around it. The Porsche Club meets up there all the time. Outdoor patio, large parking lots, easy access to 270 and within 45 minutes for everyone. I used to live in Alexandria and made the drive a million times.

Fellas, I'm down for whatever, but need need to have a consensus. As Lycan and I have gone through this once before, with trying to organize something at the National Harbor. If it's Largo, or Rockville, I'll be there. But the decision has to be made as to the location.
