Took my CLK55 to the drag strip

Weather over all was quite good. There was a 30mph cross/head wind though which did hinder times a bit. The DA on my best run was about 1200. This car will see 12s as it sits. I changed nothing, left everything alone, full weight, running all season tires and my 240lb self.
Mods in sig.For a comparison, my friend was running his SRT8 Challenger on Nitto DRs, he was running 12.9s@108ish. It has an intake, mufflers, and was running 100 octane.
Also ran faster than a new 5.0 mustang auto at the track, it ran 13.1@108.
I also tried manual mode, wow what a waste, really slowed me down. Ran a 13.5@106.
When I saw I cut the 1.96 60' I thought for sure I had the 12, freaking 30mph gust made sure that didnt happend.

Just thought I would share.

The headers are awesome, sound great. I was told that the header/tun combo yields 40hp at the flywheel. It is definetely worth, also make sure you have some sort of high flow filter.
I would love to get my hands on a Renntech box.
So pricey though. If I find one for the right price, I will pick it up.This was the first time at the drag strip with this CLK55. I took my 01 a couple years ago. I have been going to the drag strip for about 10 years now. I go at least once or twice a year. Usually with a different car each time.

What was your best time so far?

Would love to go, but right now I'm sick as a dog. Hoping to go the weekend after next.
Good luck, don't forget to post what you run.
