NeedsWings Intake for clk55
Ok so.. Ive been searching for an intake for my 03 clk55 for quite some time and am looking for something other than the expensive rennech airbox.
I noticed NeedsWings makes an intake for the crossfire and for the c32 (which appear to be very simliar to the intake our cars would need) so I emailed them in reguards to building one and this was there reply.
"Hello, we would love to build one for you. Unfortunately, we do not have a CLK 55 here to mock the kit up onto. We just finished prototyping a kit on a C32 which will be very close to what you would need for the CLK. Actually, with your motor, you would need a combination of both our naturally aspirated crossfire cold air intake and the C32 intake. We are located just north of Detroit Michigan, if you know of any CLK 55 owners near us please have them contact us and we can test fitment."

If anyone is in the area we should get this started!!!! Guarentee a group bye would get us all a killer deal, not to mention the deal im sure the person in the area would get...

I am the Needswings rep for south Florida and if some close to FT Lauderdale would allow me to mock up an intake for you , then off to Rob(needswings) for him to build it,. we just finished an intake for the E55, and working with a member here on a SL55,, here's pic of my E55 motor in my crossfire
