Is this the new facelift?

I found this pic directly from the MB site.

http://www5.mercedes-benz.com/en/veh...d_of_its_time/

Look closely at the bottom front.

I think this may be the new facelift for the eruo 2013/2014 that has been rumored about.....

Ciao'

Looks almost too much like the current version to be a facelift but I do like the bumper mods. I hope it is the facelift and would consistent to the W210 and W211 refreshes. The magazines will surely be disappointed...

I like the bumber mods in the front. The back seems to be a very small change and pretty hard to see in the pix on the web site (See the pic).

I'm wondering if that would be the Advantagarde facelift.

This is what happens when M-B ***** out the AMG Package so heavily in the U.S. We think that the "normal" models are the different/exotic ones.

As far as I know, that's simply the Avantgarde model available in Europe.

I presumed facelift models to get composite headlamps instead of this present styling
However, I must admit this new facelift is very well done , neither too little nor too much

Yup, figured it out, it's the standard bumper. The only reason that it looks "different" is because of the photo editing. Those "slashes" you see in the bumpers are just light reflections (or drawn in lights) to make the car look more dramatic. If you notice they aren't even aligned with each other on both sides, showing they aren't actually part of the design. This includes the lower "lips" on each side of the bumper-bulge bottoms.

JVC, your pic is different then the OP, yours has single headlight/parking light housing, the Op'S has individual.

The OP pic is directly from MB and the last one I posted is not. I was comparing to the bottom bumpers in both pix as being close is style.

There was word on the street that MB would do a single head light look like the S and opt'd out for the Traditional "E" look. It's fun to speculate....

I hope they keep the seperate lights so it doesn't look like the C and S(and all the others). Is the E the only vehicle in the MB line up that has seperate head/park lights? I like MB to keep with the theme of the E and it also differentiates it from the others. I guess we will all find out what their going to do some day,,, I know I'm curious.

I believe you are right K-A. I took a closer look and it maybe the same-O', Same-O'. Kinda dis-appointed. The lights really changed the charcater of the car.

Yes, I heard that the headlights/parking lights were going to be integrated as well... You can see that the headlights are still the same as the current model on the site...looks simply like the luxury version...but who knows...

There is a new front Apron....see the pix!

Looks as if I was right! There is a newer front apron on the E-Class. In the UK they are offering the Executive SE. The pictures in the OP show suttle differences on the front.

Here is the excerpt from MB UK:
The new E-Class Executive SE is available in both Saloon and Estate models. It combines exceptional specification with the low monthly rates.

Standard features include 17” chrome alloy wheels, twin exhausts and lowered suspension. The distinctive front apron, halogen headlights and LED daytime running lights give this model a striking appearance.

Note: The difference is small, but follow the lines along the bottom of the front apron. See the Pix. I've included 2 of the new front apron. Plus one sport and one classic. If you look closely you can see the differences in the lines along the bottom on the front to start. Also, look at the botton screen.

Here's the link to the UK E-Class:

You're wrong. That's the Avantgarde bumper that's been offered since the launch of the W212. It's offered in Canada as the base styling on the E300.

These photos are for 2012/2013 and reflect the new style LEDs. However, the bumpers have not changed.

2010-2013 Avantgarde (n/a in USA):

2010-2013 Elegance (n/a in Canada):

2010-2013 AMG Styling (excluding E63):

I understand that it is difficult to accept, but the truth is this: there is no facelift for MY13. Period. Only very minor changes to the telematics, etc.

Take a closer look. I've posted all three styles in the pics. If you just follow the bottom on the E-SE pix you will see that the front bottom "CURVES UP".. Then moves across to the other side and then "CURVES back DOWN"... Also, the screen area in the middle is sightly narrower.... The difference is slight but it is there.

*** Even Merecedes states that it has a "distinctive front apron"..

YYZ-E55,

I agree that the Avantgarde is the same. The pictures I posted show what is available in the US (Sport and Elegance). To my knowledge the Avantgarde is not available here and I have not seen that style before until now.

Is that a 2012 style change for the Advantgarde?

Hmm, good eye, it might be a VERY subtle difference from the Avantgarde. Still, it's not "the facelift" bumper, just a new addition. Still pretty cool they'd do that. Man do I wish we had these variations in the U.S, it would make the AMG Package have its cool-factor presence again.

I wish we could get these variations too. MB keeps the selection really narrow for the good ol' USA.

I kinda like the Avantegarde front apron. I wonder if I could get the part number .....

Yup, totally agreed. I call it making themselves look like "Fleet Cars". Careless emulations of each other which makes the brand look like it doesn't care about people/enthusiasts being creative with their orders/optioning, which in essence diminishes levels of prestige from the manufacturer. Props to BMW for doing what M-B used to do in the U.S and still in ROW, which is allowing for multiple variations to be present, and upcharging for the AMG/M Packages so those of us who would like to pay up for the "exclusivity factor" can happily do so.

In Europe, I'm noticing lots of bare-bones E's with black window trim and no chrome on the sides.... I mean, these are BARE bones.... Which is on a side note funny as some peeps in the U.S do those as mods.

How about Debadging? I heard that is real popular in Europe.

VERY much. Funny that some people seem to think it's a U.S type of thing. Lots of de-badged M-B's, and my Cousins in Germany even told me that over there there are lots of people who false-badge their cars.... so even in the "Homeland", they do that crap.

Also, most W212's here have halogen blinkers on the rear lights, as opposed to the standard LED's we have in the States. I never thought it'd make such a difference not only in function, but just in looks when the things aren't even on!
