Most likely side panels bro. Guessing your washer pump may not be working and will probably require replacement. It's a $15-$30 part depending on where you shop.

There is none. It is driven by an electronically protected circuit from the front SAM.

sorry, i meant the fuse for the windshield washser not the reservoir for the water container for windshield washer,
when i press the signal light button to the deepest stop the wiper would activate but not the water, and if i use the headllight washer, the water is working just fine.

I'm having the same problem i press all the way in and no water sprays out just the wipers come on, any idea where the pump is located and if its a DIY job.

Sorry but I answered the title of your question, not your question.

There is no fuse for the windshield washer pump.

The pump itself is attached to the washer reservoir. If there is no spray, it could be the pump or a loose hose (do you lose water) or the stalk switch, or...

The tank is always full of washer fluid, i've got to take it in soon for transmission fluid change i'll get them to check it out then.

Cheap fix it needed a new pump.

1. Get a new windshield-washer pump (paid 18 Euro including shipping for a Febi/Bilstein #23113).
2. Suck the washer-fluid out of the reservoir .
3. Undo one nut holding reservoir upperright 10mm deep-socket.
4. Pull up reservoir gently ,careful there are fluid lines/electrical attached underneath.

To acces maybe easier to take inlet-pipe off from the aircleaner unit,also good to check the state of your L-airfilter.

Then there is just enough room to see the pump sitting on the side ;slid in the resevoir.

5. Pull the black washerpump carefully up to slide it out of the rubber grommet on the bottom of the pump.
6. Disconnect electrical connector,by pushing a tab and pulling it from the pump.
7. Turn the small vdo-ring on the fluid line a half turn.
8. Undo fluid-line,replace pump and

9. Work everything in reverse direction to reinstall, carefully reseat the pump in the grommet: push deep enough to have no leakage.

Work with care not to break anything as there is lots of plastic/nylon lines in this area..

This is valid for W221's with Airmatic;for ABC it looks a little more complex,since there are more lines etc.around the reservoir, but dunno since I have airmatic.

Is the fluid line on the bottom of the reservoir long enough to pull the reservoir out, or does it have to come off first, before I can get the reservoir out far enough to remove the pump?

Pump has to come off first as far as I can remember,there are some wires and lines attached underneath the reservoir so best to leave reservoir somewhat in place,but make room to replace pump(s).

the only way to change the pump and access it is by pulling partially out the reservoir then the hose line connected to the pump with a snap lock half moon ring should be release, release the socket connected to the top of the pump then pull the whole reservoir out of its place together with the pump, after this is done then take out the pump when the whole reservoir is out of its location completely, this is a must in order to access properly and at ease the pump and not to dislodge or destroy the rubber seal between the pump and the reservoir, plus you can have the whole unit leak tested while it is out of its place. There are ABSOLUTELY no other lines or wires attached to the buttom of the plastic reservoir as others may have just been guessing. The only attachments of hose and wire is to the pump and no where else.

some models have two pumps one for the windshield and another for the headlamps, both are located side by side,

I too am experiencing trouble with my windshield washer. It was working intermittently and then slowly died out. I was sure this was my washer pump, which I replaced. Unfortunately, it was not my pump, as I am not getting voltage at the pump at all. It did work for a split second when I was putting it in, but not since.

In my car, there are two pumps behind the headlight. The left unit, is the shorter, windshield washer pump and the right unit, the longer one is the headlight washer pump.

Are there any other switches that control the washer pump?

Could this be the multi-function stalk?

I am wary of taking this to the dealer for fear of a $300 diagnostic charge.

Any help is appreciated.
