2007 Mercedes GL450 - Airmatic Air Spring replacement

I hope to make the right decision on buying the right front air spring kit for my Mercedes GL 450, 2007. My Mercedes GL 2007 has leak from the left front Air Spring. I believe it is not fully dead yet but I am thinking to replace the air springs soon.

I found 2 different kinds of kits from arnottindustries.com and not sure which to pick. The first kit is only the front Air spring. I tend to get this one because it is cheaper and my shocks seems like working fine. The second is the REMANUFACTURED FRONT AIR SHOCK (WO/ADS). This one has a different kind of Air spring on top of the assembly or it has additional rubber cover. I am not sure.

I am wondering which kit makes sense to buy. What is the chance the front shock will need to be replaced soon? My car has 70k miles. Did anyone have experience with it? Any advice is highly appreciated. Thank you.

at 70k you should do both and be good for another 70k why fool with it again for the spring

I had a rear spring go out and had that replaced (95,000 mile marker). A couple of months later I had the air shock go out and was back in. I think doing both at the same time is a wise choice.

2008 GL320 with 131,000 miles. Left front leaking. Talked to Arnott and they suggested the complete unit for both sides. Having it done today. $480 labor only at a friends shop. I was planning to do it myself but had to have back surgery. Didn't want to wait till I healed as you can burn up your compressor if you let it go too long with a leak.

gl 450 r350
Arnott

When my 2007 GL 450 turned 110,000 miles, I had the same problem. The front left started leaking. As soon as I installed Arnott Part Number RemanufacturedA-2575 on the left, then I the front right started leaking. Shortly after I replaced the front right. the rear started to sag. I replaced the rear with Arnott Part Number A-2409

Apparently at 100K the ruber in the air shocks starts to degrade, replace all four. The car now rides like new.

I found the remanufactured Air shock costing $50 more saved me time in the long run not having to rebuild the shock with the new air spring.

As a foot note, I also had a little rattle in the front suspention, at 100K the sway bar links need to be replaced. Now My GL 450 sounds and rides like new.

Im having the same problem with the left side front. Its been leaking for a while now and just figured out what it was. Im assuming by the posts that the ARnott is the oly way to go. How do they sell the rears? If I was to do the whole suspension, what do i need to buy from Arnott? Help
