Hello All!

I am looking to get a winter set up for the GLK. I found good tires and rims, but i am still looking for cheap TPMS sensors? What are you guys using? What about the ford sensors that i have seen mentioned on the forums? Where are you guys buying them?

The guy said they need to be programmed to the car..huh? I thought since they are 433mhz that they would work automatically? some members on this board said there's nothing to do, car will detect them. I would like a confirmation on this.

Car does it automatically and I think you can re set before you start driving after installing new ones

Indeed that's what I just heard as well, you can reset in the cluster menus and drive about 5-10 miles and it will detect them

I think those are 433.92mhz. I'm looking for the 315mhz for an 04 S.

Which would be better the BERU RDE004 or SIEMENS/VDO?

Anyone have a good place to buy these? Seems like I can find the 433.92mhz for around 100 for a set whereas the 315mhz are 100 each?

Also, anyone have OEM part numbers?

I may be mistaken, however by noting your location I think your objective is to install TPMS sensors on a Canadian delivered (?) MB. If so, I take it you are aware of the distinction between the (Canadian) Tire Pressure Loss Warning System and the Tire Pressure Monitoring System?

Sorry to revive this old thread, but trying to find TPMS for some winter wheels for a 2013 GLK350 4Matic.

Anyone know the OEM part#?

Are there different parts depending on when the car was made? Seems like some sites have the TPMS a 433Mhz, and some as 315Mhz....

FYI.. for my 2013 GLK 4Matic, the ID for the TPMS was A0035400217.

Looks like Schrader makes an replacement sensor also. Ordered...so we'll see how it works.

I read somewhere that Costco sells them for cheap too. Don't know if it is OEM or not.

Tire Rack sells the TPMS made by the same company as the OEM- Schrader I believe.

Do not buy the ones from Titan TPMS. I bought 4 of them last year for a winter set of rims and tires. The Titans were substantially lower priced than the OEM Schraders. PepBoys installed them for me.

The Titan TPMS ones do not relay the actual tire pressures back to the computer system on the GLK. Therefore, it only tells you if they are inflated or not. It'll just read "TPMS active". I had this tested.

With that said, I had to return the Titan TPMS ones. The company Titan TPMS were fantastic about the whole thing and did refund my money, in addition to pay for new OEM sensors and the replacement labor. But it did cost me hassle and two trips to PepBoys.

I ended up getting OEM Schraders from ebay. They were $80 for 4. Unfortunately the stems were a little too short for the wheels that I had.

I ended up having to get a Schrader rebuild kit 20020ak (20020 20013) and using some of the parts to make them work. $20.

Works now. The Schrader valves transmit individual pressure to each sensor.

I have just installed the SEINECA brand TPMS sensors (SKU: BBC009-4-SA-OLT) on my 2015 GLK, and I can confirm the vehicle recognized and learned the 4 new sensors within a few miles of driving, without any input from me whatsoever.

Interesting. Their fitment information is very confusing! As far as I can tell, the only GLK250 it fits is the 2013 model year... (I think)

Correct! In fact, I noticed it says it will NOT "fit" in a GLK350, but it did, and it worked as I mentioned before....hence my posting here so others can benefit

I did a fair amount of research, and wanted some that were likely to last more than 5 years before requiring replacement, and that would auto-install. Add $60 at Discount Tire to install them and rebalance the tires (due to possible difference in the weight of the old and new sensors). They auto-configured, and have been working like a champ.
