Smile Nav-TV VIM for Sale! Video In Motion NavTV for w204!!

I recently traded in my 2008 C300 for an E350, but before I did, I had a professional stereo shop remove the NavTV VIM module that I had bought NEW for $699.99 less than a year ago.
Since this model of the NavTV is not compatible with an E350, I would like to offer it up to the MBWorld community to see if anybody is interested in getting this incredible mod for your car, for only $500, or best offer!
Your passengers can watch DVDs and concerts the entire time that your car is in motion, from start to finish! Please PM me if you are interested in getting a NavTV upgrade for your sweet MB!

Cheers!!

Neil

How bad was the install and would it be compatible with my 09 63?

The install on mine was really simple actually... You remove the front of the stereo (by taking out just two pins) and it pulls right out.. Then you simply plug in the NavTV between the stereo head and the car's connecting wires.

There are a few instructional PDF manuals that Nav-TV has on their website that explain how to do it in just a few steps, with pictures and everything. You can also take it to a pro stereo shop and they would probably do it for less than $25-$50.. since it only takes about 15 minutes total.

It should definitely work on your C63, as it is made for all w204 Mercedes models that are 2008-current.

I'm certainly no expert.. But it worked seamlessly when it was in my C300's Command.. I'm sure you can contact NavTV's website or customer service for details on audio20.

Is this just a VIM? or does it do other things like ATSC-M tuner? seems quite expensive if it's just the VIM. I am looking into installing one of these and it seems like a lot of manufacturers have different model for NTG4.0 vs NTG4.5 and also some disable the navigation while enabled while others don't.

I agree that it's not super cheap. Seeing that it's still $699.99 new, the NavTV company is certainly proud of these modules..
When I was using it, I only used it for the Video in Motion (VIM) feature... You can use it for other applications as well.
The pro stereo shop that installed it was able to keep my navigation working with it too. I would have to look up on NavTV's website or contact their customer service to find out more details.

I would certainly be willing to sell it for around $400.. if anyone is interested, feel free to send me a message!

Well I'm happy for you.. Every company is obviously different with their products and prices.. I have heard that some people have had a lot of problems with Mid City Engineering, which is why I went with the Nav-TV VIM. Many people have complained after installing a Mid City VIM that their screen becomes frozen or stuck randomly after installing the Mid City VIM... and also that it messes up their navigation. I'm sure some of them work okay, but sometimes you get what you pay for.
NavTV is an excellent brand, which is probably why they charge a bit more for their products. The NavTV that I have is still $699.99 on their website, unfortunately... So I was just trying to see if anyone wanted to get the best VIM module for their car at half the price. I am certainly willing to accept any offers that someone thinks is fair. Please let me know if anyone is interested in this NavTV for their Benz!

Like someone else asked, is this only VIM for DVD? Or does it do other stuff like add additional video inputs, switch AUX on/off, etc. like some other units?

This NavTV can be used as either VIM with your DVD player or it can also be used as an auxillary video/audio input for just about anything.. I had only used it for VIM when it was in my C300. If you have any questions, feel free to check out NavTV's website and customer support:
