Everything can be solved with a flat head screw driver. (But maybe not fixed/repaired) :P

I'm pretty sure the antenna is clipped. (But still don't take my word on that). Might wanna give it a wiggle and see.

I think it it secured by a screw or two; you'll have to unscrew it from the inside of car- rear map lights?

Get a torx bit and angle it in the box end of a small wrench....tape with electrical tape. I've actually removed the antenna before this way. As for the roof trim. It is clipped. I pulled up from the very front (hood) and it just comes off with a little effort.

thats how I did it. Use a torx bit and a 5/16" box wrench (i think) to slide in between. I had a spotty connection on my 08 w the sirius antenna and removed the antenna to fix the connection like this. takes patience it was frustrating

Sorry this took so long. Been really busy....don't know that these are the right-size tools, but a use a torx bit, angled in the wrench, and tape it really tight. Manage your patience, however. lol This will pop the antenna loose and then you'll have to figure out what to do with the three cables.

Did you ever end up taking off your antenna?

Any more info on how you were able to remove it and re-install the antenna? Last night while my 2012 C was parked at the hotel I am at for business it got vandalized and someone thought it would be cool to rip mine off. The Marriott wont cover the cost and it would be cheaper for me to fix myself of course if I just just pull the rest of it up and plug in a new unit. Im taking it to the dealership tomorrow to see if the parts would be cheaper to buy than my deductible any help would be great. thanks

Mine is being done at the dealer tomorrow morning. The part is $55 if you do not have GPS. They can also access it from the rear dome.

Hope this helps,

A

This seems like a deal for $55 as long as labor is cheap. I paid $100 for the antenna from salvage and made the change within a few minutes. Adding labor might bring the total to around $100, maybe....

But, assuming the antenna works, it's easy to swap out the plastic cover. I just wouldn't change out the entire antenna, that's the pain.

That's no good man. I think the dealer quoted me at least $600 for the part and labor, before I had the idea to just change the cover....

I had my antenna replaced at the dealer today. Took 35 minutes and cost was $150 all in. Great service.

I burnt mine with the buffer yesterday and the dealer told me that he can't order just the cover. Says it's a sealed unit and it's $271! Does this sound right? '12 c250 sport
