I like the W221 S Class volume control and COMAND controller. Burmester is also a great addition. Other than that, I'm glad that my next car will be an E. That design is trendy, not timeless, and it is going to be hard to make it not look cheap - screen notwithstanding. I'm also not interested in owning an MB out of Tuscaloosa.

This design direction would have been approved long before the public had its first hint of the CLA interior. I'm surprised it survived market research, assuming they took that step.

. The dash looks very low and sporty...i know there is no gearshift on the floor now and its on the steering column, but thats okay, i can live with that. The red seats look really good too . I know that ipad dash thing is a sore point, but it honestly doesnt look that bad in person in the CLA; i have a feeling it will look much better here in the C class because the dash is much more curvy and low slung than the CLA. Is Burmester taking place of Harmon Kardon now? I am assuming Burmester will be the option that comes with Premium 1 and then on top of that, the 3D audio version from the S class would be available im guessing.

i hope they'll get their act together for the facelift but that means at least in the next few years i'll still drive my W204 and C207 unless i find the money for a CLS

If you look at the new W222 the screen layout is very similar, the A and B may look tacky but IMO this is another deal, I think the entire interior looks great.

I like it a lot, so far. Nav screen isn't my favorite, but it looks better here than in the CLA (maybe b/c it looks like it sits in front of the dash, not on top of it). Hope the upgraded interior trim makes it to the US! And I don't think it's so trendy that it won't age well. The door panels are very reminiscent of the new S-Class, while the dash looks a lot like the old S-Class. The single piece for the trim for the dash leading into the center console also looks very good.
Can't wait to see it in-person.
BTW, saw another camouflaged W205 in LA on Friday. It was at stoplight and a last gen Volvo S60 was behind it. It looked taller, longer, and about the same width as the S60, so the new should be considerably bigger than the current one....

As the maintenance cost will be high, I was starting to form a plan to trade in my 2012 C300 for a W205 either next year or in 2015. With the interior look as shown in the above posts, I will not want a W205. The pop-up screen and the round vents just don't look right to me.
I guess I will have to stick with the W204 for a longer time or move on to other brand. It will be a tough decision later.

the red accents and seats look fantastic though . It really looks like its gonna be the interior to beat in this class; lets see how Audi responds with the B9 A4. The teaser video showed blue ambient lighting as well, so that should be nice .

The floor mats have the /// embroidered on them and the seats are very elaborate... I wonder if this is an AMG car. just weird
