I am considering this interior accent but wanted to first check with others. I saw a 2012 AMG on the dealer lot today and the Black Piano console finish looked a little scratched. I am not sure if that finish is the same as today's diamond black, I suspect it isn't but wanted to check.

Does the finish readily show smudges?
Does it scratch over time?
What about the contrast with the luggage cross bar being in silver chrome?
