Can the GT version be tuned to equal the GTS's HP?
Hi,
It's been awhile since I've been on this forum. So excuse me if this question has already been answered.
Can the GT model be tuned to perform as well as the GTS model?
When will the GT model arrive for sale? Is anyone getting any deals on the current GTS?
Thanks,

If its like other models that Benz makes where one has the performance package and the other doesn't, then it should be able to be tuned to equal "after" numbers. Im assuming the model's engine power is soley separated by boost levels though (ECU mods that is as well).

Thanks Vic,
I had a E 63 non turbo car when you had yours. It was a great car, just too big of a car for me. Do you still own yours?

Unless the GTS has additional intercooler heat exchangers (like the E63S has), or has other engine changes, then in theory both GT and GTS should reach the same tuning output.

Joe,
Thanks for your reply. From reading, I know the GT doesn't have the
E differential which is no deal breaker for me. What else is missing on the GTvsGTS?
I actually like the hidden spoiler better than the large fixed one on the GTS.
I'm hopefully taking a test drive Sat in a GTS. Sticker is $145 K
I can't believe how nice the interior is in the new AMG. I thought the Jag "F" Type "R" was very nice until I actually saw the int of the AMG in person. Just beautiful and excellent quality.
