In the meantime, looking at sound options. I anticipate GT will have the sub par HK system so I found this and it was an interesting read

I have HK sound system in my CLS63. Total junk. Playing anything loud is embarrassing. Designed for the radio at moderate decibel levels. My SRT has the HK system also and is orders of magnitude better. I haven't listened to the burmeister but my guess is it will be no better than ordinary (which is better than crap). Mercedes isn't the luxury brand they claim they are and they know we only buy their cars for their engines.
But I have to reiterate, the quality on The GT is from what I have seen great. Electronics and software always seem to lag.....

I only listened to the upgraded Burmester in the GTS for 15 minutes during my test drive but it was underwhelming. Average to slightly above average for a $4500 option.

I trust your ears so I wonder what's different in the same small space as the 911.
You never did say much about your upgrade ?? How is it now?

Exciting.
I have regular Bermeister and it sound good. Only thing I hate is having to constantly turn down the bass as I turn up the volume. That should be automatic

I finally got option pricing from dealer and signed of on the car today. Build date is 9/24 and estimated arrival is 11/2. This is going to be a long wait...

I assume you did stock wheels and are going aftermarket ?
What does upgraded Nappa interior cost?
