Noises... Ugh
So i developed a constant interior creaking noise from the right rear of my GTS. The dealer had it for a day and is going to replace the right rear strut. I have not dropped it off to have that work performed yet, but I noticed now it's a creak and a squeak ever since they messed around with it. I cannot make it stop, and it gets worse in S+. It's ruining my driving experience.
Loud music doesn't help, I can still hear it... Non stop.
To make matters worse, I can now hear wind noise from my window at anything above 60mph. Kill me.
The sound is like two plastic or rubber pieces constantly rubbing against each other. I've had two separate shops also look at it, and they cannot figure it out either. I really don't think replacing the strut will help.

I do trust my dealer, but I am very buy and don't have time for this. And they are even busier, booking 3 weeks out. This won't work out for me.
I am replacing the strut Monday and will let you guys know If it helped.
No I have no noises coming from my centre console. It's all concentrated to my hatch area.

the only noises i hear from my trunk area are very muffled clinking noises like aluminum baseball bats that shift slightly and make a dull clunk. not very loud and it's usually just a very light dink noise once whenever i slow down or take off. sounds like part of the gearbox or diff.

It's amazing this gt-S has these issues... Hopefully they dial them out in the next five years

A constant, relentless squeaking in my ear while i drive a $200k (CDN) car however, is no fun at all. And actually is quite depressing.

That's awesome it's fixed
New models need a couple years to dial out the big issues, four to five for all the nit picky ones that don't bother or affect most

Was the noise sound high pitch? kinda like 2 small washers rubbing and vibrating against each other? I seem to have this sound in my cabin at highway speeds. Took it to dealer and they replace the engine mount, took them 2 weeks, sound is still there...

The noise you are describing, like two washers, is a noise I have now. I would love to get rid of it too. Please let me know what you find. I feel like it's coming from behind the dash, but it's too faint to trace while you drive, and it doesn't do it all the time.

I would have never guess the noise was due to a software issue...it sounded mechanical behind the driver's seat like 2 metal washer vibrating together. I AM NOW NOISE FREE

My car was in for the noise in the right rear of the car. They cleaned and lubricated the bushings and caps. The car was gone for one week. I got it back and the noise is much worse than before. I can't stand to drive it. The noise is obnoxious and constant. The car goes back Tuesday and I will take the shop foreman for a ride so he hears what I hear. I told them about the strut replacement and they were not to interested. Wish me luck.
