Difference between GT and GTS?

2021 Porsche TTS
That was my thought process. I bought a GT with all the options I wanted (upgraded interior, adaptive suspension, cf interior, perf exhaust) and saved about 15K compared to a GT-S

Side question...
Same as the Audi V8 turbo? Same V8, range from 450 to 620 HP, which is huge difference! (S7 to RS7) and BMW V8?
I know Porsche, my 911 turbo "flash" still has diff power than a "flash" turbo S, I think there are some internal (or whatever) difference too ..

The turbo and turbo s are one of the few models of tier 1 and 1A cars that a tune will make them equal. You should check 6 speedonline- many non S cars are tuned and are equal to tuned S cars in their performance. Its because clear bump in hp and tq is tune only related not engine internals and/or exhaust. Im talking about 991's (.1 variants).

From your signature, you have 12 R8 V10 and GTS, how you compare them? I have been looking at ~ 5yr old V10 R8 vs AMG GT, they are about same price.. (if I see a V10 r8 with stick, probably jump on it..)

AWD for incredible wet traction and launches
The GTS is the modern day bang for the buck car and its hard to compare because I got my GTS in 2015 and my R8 is a 2012 car; clearly technology has changed along with creature comforts and mechanical advancements. The R8 I have has the dreaded SMGIII style gearbox (one clutch) and while Ive done several TCU updates its nothing remotely close to a dual clutch tranny. I will admit that the car is fun to drive on the weekends and around town with the catless exhuast I added and an ecu tune. The model is very long in the tooth though and will not outperform the GTS except possibly from a dig with easy AWD launches. The reason its still around is V10 normal aspiration- you just dont find that anymore unless you get the brand new one or a Huracan (which I have).

The R8 V10 has just a few advantages IMHO:

It is still not clear to me if the GT with dynamically adjustable supension is the same as the GTS

No, it isn't. Go to the AMG website and pull up the specs for both. There are some substantial mechanical and trim differences. That said, I had the GT S and didn't think the differences warranted the price differential. But then I didn't think the car generally offered good performance value, sold it after a brief ownership sojourn. Bang-for-the-buck, nothing approaches the current 'Vette, 'Stang, or even Camaro, properly optioned. A current Mustang GT350 R at $70K will run quicker track times than a GT S.

GT vs. GTS is a logical question, especially if no one wants to get the "base model" of anything. That said, I chose the GT over the GTS, there is nothing "base" about it. I first started by building the GT with everything that I wanted. Then I built a comparable GTS, there was a $13,600 price difference. I had to ask myself for how I planned to use the car (a daily driver), were the differences in the GT and GTS worth the premium. I concluded that the premium was not worth it to me. Everyone has to go through their own thought process, but this was mine. I am very happy with my choice.

I agree with you. I just bought a used 2017 GT. IWHen I bought it the sales/service people conviced me that there was no difference between the GT and GTS. I since have found out there is.
However my GT was optioned with the right options so I have been finding out that I am not missing much.

I agree with you. I just bought a used 2017 GT. IWHen I bought it the sales/service people conviced me that there was no difference between the GT and GTS. I since have found out there is.
However my GT was optioned with the right options so I have been finding out that I am not missing much.

You're also missing the Dynamic Plus Package. I have this option, unsure whether it matters for a daily driver but some of the same features are present on my 991 GT3. At the very least, it provides a more sporty driving experience. It certainly doesn't make the suspension intolerable, I find it very comfortable in Comfort suspension mode.

The GT uses multimatic suspension with the ride control as an option, and the DPP is not available on the GT, only the GTS.

Well, the OP mentioned he has 2017, wherein the dynamic engine mounts were indeed an option on the GT. May I suggest to OP that he does a VIn search or look at his Tachometer as it has I believe a yellow power band which would indicate the dynamic option.
The ceramic brakes were also an option on the 17, which was limited in the 18.
