Hi folks. I'm curoius to see if anyone has a hard wired radar and jammer installed in their GT or GTS.

Im looking to install a Escort Passport 9500CI....

Any advice on where to install would be great!

i have the 9500 on my visor, it follows me to several cars. It seems they upgrade their detectors so often I need to buy the latest one every couple yrs so I dont worry about installs. I Do know the best radar jammers are the ALP and i thought about having on of those installed

I would absolutely not get the 9500ci, it was great when it was released but it's quite outdated now. The Passport Max CI is due to be released in March, it's the updated version of the 9500 and is dramatically improved and will have updatable firmware and software allowing you to update it to keep up with current police radar and laser capabilities going forward.

If you're going to spend that much money just wait another 4-6 weeks and get the current version that is much, much more future proof. As to your original question I know UltimateAuto in Orlando has installed a Stinger set up on a GT.

I have a 9500ci that I took out of my previous car and did the install with a friend on my GT.
You have to be ready to drill a few holes on the passenger side and the back bumper but it's otherwise a pretty straighforward install.
Like others have said, I think that if you have not bought it, you are better off to get a portable detector and get the ALP jammer.

Has anyone hardwired a V1? I'd like to get some mounting ideas that don't use suction cups.
