Integrated radar: K40 or Escort?

I am looking to get an integrated radar + laser protection system. I know mid city makes a module that interfaces with the gauge for both K40 and escort systems

I have only had a V1 so no experience between K40 or Escort.

Which company is better and more specifically, what models?

Thanks

Best remote MOUNT ever is/was the Bel Stir-O, BUT its no longer produced. If I were looking for a GPS based exceptional remote unit, it would no doubt be the Stir + from Escort/Beltronics. YOU can band segment it to make it vicious on Ka band, it has Redlight camera alert capability and has been around the block a time or two.

Quick answer: Beltronics Stir Plus with Laser Interceptor for lidar defense

I love V1, BUT they are becoming oh so yesterday!!! (not that the V1Connection is bad since you can adjust it to suit your driving areas as well).

Current best windshield mount: Redline with Band segmentation

If you want an all in radar/laser solution you should look at the Antilaser Priority (AL Priority). It is the best performing laser jammer and you can integrate the Beltronics STiR+ radar antenna with it. It also has the option via Bluetooth to use your iPhone/iPad/iPod for alerts and to control the unit.

The Escort and K40 laser shifter do not perform well.

I would do escort, and if it is the custom installed unit as the 9500ci, then have the tech doing the install hide the laser shifters in the trunk and add some other laser jammers to it. played around with the laser interceptor and new K40 laser jammers, and both seem to work as intended, though the laser interceptor has a bit more features.

Bump. Now that it's been thoroughly tested, I'd argue that the ALPs are the way to go for protection. Because of many recent changes in the lidar gun market, the ALPs are the only units currently able to handle these new lidar guns.

Interesting new twist on all of this is that Cliff of old LI fame is now the rep for Stinger USA, a newcomer to the USA market for both radar and lidar protection. They've been in AU and EU for years but are now here. Very expensive units starting at over 5K for front and rear radar and close to 6-7K for radar and lidar for a remote unit, not including install.
