Did VIP Destroy My Vehicke
The battery was getting bad in my 2009 c class 4matic so I brought it to VIP, They put a new battery in then told me it wouldnt start. Had it towed to the dealership who said it needed a new EIS Module and key. He also said this happens sometimes when you change a battery. I have never heard of such a thing. Could someone give me some answers to this ?? Thanks so much

search the forums for eis c class. there are many threads.
Here is one suggesting it could be repairable, which is what you should try to do first - https://mbworld.org/forums/m-class-w...rimlims-2.html

Does the problem change with temperature? The guess would be bad solder joints on the EIS, specifically around the connector pins. That would be odd for that year of vehicle unless you live in a climate of extreme temperatures. If you can get it out and resolder the board, try it. If not, replace the eis.
