Audio 30 Connectors Pinout?
Could anyone provide a pin out (or link) of what the various connections in the back of the Audio 30 Radio do?
I would like to try some modifications.
Thanks,
Hish

Gentlemen, this is a very old but perhaps important post for me.
I recently gave up on the Japanese formatted radio that came with my 2001 SLK320 and switched it out for a Becker BE 6003.
Every function works correctly except it does not shut off and turn on with the key.
The R170 has a pretty unsophisticated wiring system and uses A7 at about 5-6V to turn the original radio on and off with the key but from all I read A7 is not active on the Becker BE 6003.
That said, looking at the list above, C4 is labeled Wake Up. Does this mean awaken the radio from standby?
Would moving the wires from A7 to C4 result in the Becker going off and on with the key?
Thanks

I believe that the power on/off function on the later Audio 30 radios is done via the CAN bus. I may be wrong, but I believe the later units were fitted with D2B fiber interfaces for connected accessories and the "wake up" line is used to activate them when the radio powers up.
