W209 CLK running wire to passenger footwell
I got a cell-phone mount for my 2004 CLK500 from ebay... it's this unit: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWN%3AIT
It fits great, and I put my cellphone bracket near the top, and I drilled a 1" hold near the bottom of the "face" of it and I installed a cigarette lighter socket for my phone charger. it looks really nice, but alas, doesn't work. I can take out my ashtray and my center console / gearshift cover, and I see the wires I need to tap into - but I honestly have no idea how to get a pair of wires from behind the ashtray to the passenger footwell area, where the bracket is. I tried poking and prodding... maybe there's another wire around there that's not inside the console I can tape into? I'm trying not to drill any holes here...
